Management CentreENGAGE: Film Screening, “Leading the Way to Peace”

Women and women organisations co-organised with the NGO Support Centre and the Management Centre in the frame work of the ENGAGE project a projection of the film “Leading the Way to Peace”.

In the event women from the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot Community watched the admirable efforts of four women peacemakers, their personal stories of courage, achievements and hope in different conflict areas of the world. Sierra Leone, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Guatemala, four different countries, four different stories with so many similarities. These women during and after the conflict of their countries dedicated their lives in inspiring and educating other women and people to claim their rights and engage into peacebuilding and reconciliation.

After there was a discussion following the film on how women in Cyprus can help in the reconciliation process.
